Cebu City - Retired general Adelberto Yap has refused to recognize the authority of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority board to suspend him as airport general manager pending an investigation into his alleged anomalous transactions.

Mr. Yap, through his counsel Joseph Randi C. Torregosa, has asked Transportation chief Leandro R. Mendoza to step in. He argued that the board does not have the authority to discipline the official.
