Despite their previous announcements, government agencies did not send funds to the Philippine embassy in Beirut for the evacuation of Filipino migrant workers in Lebanon, a senator said.

In a statement, Senator Joker P. Arroyo said the Foreign Affairs department and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) - which collects fees from migrant workers before departure from the Philippines - never sent any additional funds to the embassy.
