Zamboanga City - Internal revenue agents will be knocking on doors of suspected tax evaders in this city as part of an effort to collect more taxes and increase public awareness on the need to pay the right amount of taxes to the government.

Revenue district officer Roberto S. Bucoy has organized 20 teams of tax mappers who will make inquiries about tax payments by local residents. Although coordinated with barangay officials who will help identity affluent people in the community whose names are not on the list of taxpayers in the city, the visits will be unannounced.
