Jul. 31--Neighborhoods in Tacoma and Pierce County will celebrate Tuesday as part of National Night Out Against Crime. Here is a list of 75 planned events. Tacoma -- Downtown: Metropolitan Development Council, 721 S. Fawcett Ave., will host an open house and barbecue. The event begins at 4:15 p.m. in the parking lot on South Seventh Street, between Fawcett Avenue and Court D Street. -- Hilltop: 2330 S. G St., from 6 to 9 p.m. -- Hilltop: South 23rd to South 25th and L streets, from 6 to 8 p.m. -- Hilltop: South 13th Street and Ainsworth Avenue, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. -- Hilltop: McCarver School Park, South J and South 23rd streets, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. -- Hilltop: South 18th and South L streets, from 4 to 8 p.m. -- Hilltop: 1517 S.
