This book was chosen by my nature-loving son from his school's book order club. I was hesitant at first to spend the $14.95, without reviewing it physically in my hands, but I am so glad I did! The Water Hole is a beautifully illustrated book by Australian artist and author Graeme Base that intertwines learning numbers, regions of our Earth, and notably the care of our Earth through the eyes of animals. These realistic, yet animated animals, from various regions of our Earth, come to the water hole in increasing numbers beginning with one rhinoceros from Africa to the final number …
