A heated discussion over Ukraine's NATO integration erupted at the round-table talks among the country's leading politicians and public figures held in Kiev today. While President Viktor Yushchenko wanted the talks' final document, called a declaration of national unity, to contain a clear provision that joining NATO is Ukraine's goal, Communist leader Petro Poroshenko and parliamentary speaker Oleksandr Moroz called for the exclusion of such a provision from the proposed document.
