Jul. 27--Ride 'em, rope 'em and show 'em.
The Sarpy County Fair highlights cowboy skills and farming talents in a festival atmosphere that includes music, dances, 4-H exhibits, a parade and a demolition derby.
A 4-H horse show Saturday and Sunday hints of the rodeo to come the next weekend. Free rides on a mechanical bull, also next weekend, let the greenhorns get a feel for rodeo action.
All-terrain vehicles -- the horses of the space age -- move to the arena for another kind of rodeo on Aug. 6.
