Tacloban City - The plan to rehabilitate and upgrade the Daniel Z. Romualdez (DZR) Airport in this city has been included in the list of projects for the next five years.

Southern Leyte governor Rosette Y. Lerias, who chairs the Eastern Visayas Regional Development Council, said the council presented to President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo a resolution urging the national government to set aside counterpart funds for the DZR Airport once revenue collections improve.
