Jul. 25--A local educator says he's exploring setting up another charter school in Pueblo, working with a national group that opened a similar operation last year in Colorado Springs. Jerry Baca said he will be meeting with officials of the Greater Educational Opportunities Foundation here Wednesday, along with other community leaders he's invited to be a part of the project. Besides the Colorado Springs school, GEO operates three charter schools in Indiana. Baca said he would be principal of the school, which would serve grades 7 through 12.
