SAPPORO -- A man under indictment for abusing his common-law wife's child has been hit with a new arrest warrant for swindling a financial institution out of over 10 million yen, police said.

Jun Yamazaki, 39, a restaurant owner under indictment for inflicting bodily injury on his stepson, is accused of fraud. Hideo Kamijo, 50, a company president, has also been arrested for masterminding the fraud case.
