ROMEO TOGONON WILL BE REMEMBERED as a newspaper editorial cartoonist, but definitely not just another cartoonist.

He was very useful and efficient.

Boy Togs never relied on cute, artsy lines, but instead delivered his message quick, in bold, striking strokes.

There were those who might have suspected that the artist, with his thick, darkish style, could be rushing, or was always in a hurry, to finish (his frame). Truth is there was never wasteful haste in his works; he never telegraphed, but just delivered his message, quickly, effectively.
