Indian navy evacuates 100 citizens from Lebanon; 1,000 await evacuation.

[Newsreader] Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora has called for an immediate cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah militants even as more than 300 people have been killed and five lakh [500,000] others displaced in a week of Israeli attacks. More than 60 Lebanese civilians and two Israeli children were killed yesterday [19 July] alone.

Meanwhile about 100 Indians have been evacuated from there so far and over a 1,000 others are awaiting to be moved out by four Indian warships which sailed into Beirut harbour yesterday. India will also be …
