Jul. 20--Quick hits while we wonder which we'll see first, a new 49ers stadium, Al Davis and Mike Shanahan holding hands and singing "Kum Ba Ya" or Jose Canseco winning a Cy Young Award.

-- It's been over 20 years since former 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo called Candlestick Park a "pig sty."

It's been over nine years since voters in San Francisco narrowly approved spending $100 million to help pay for a 49ers stadium and mall project.

It's been over six years since the NFL approved the 49ers transfer of ownership from Eddie to his sister, Denise DeBartolo York.

Candlestick -- now called Monster Park in its latest incarnation -- is still a pig sty, by NFL standards. The 49ers still call that sty their home.
