Jul. 18--TAVARES -- They heard about John Couey at work, at home, even in their dreams. Prospective jurors in Lake County found it impossible to heed Circuit Judge Richard Howard's order to avoid news and talk of the case, a court transcript revealed Monday. "I walked into our supply house, and the fellow behind the counter looked at me and said, 'Do you know that S.O.B. buried her alive?' And that's all I could think about," said Ed Hartwick, a technician for a family-owned company. "It really bothered me." He was among 11 people excused from the jury pool Thursday.
