Section: General News - The sufficiency economy principle initiated by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej will be placed greater emphasis than the gross domestic product (GDP) growth in the Thai government's 10th National Economic and Social Development Plan, to be implemented from 2007-2011, according to a national think tank.

Speaking after a meeting here Wednesday with Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB)'s Secretary-General Ampon Kitti-ampon said the exchange of views on technical matters had been made during the meeting.
