Byline: MAC MORRISON
Three days before he became the first driver to win five events at IMS, Michael Schumacher sat down for a rare interview session, addressing anything and everything thrown at him. The highlights:
Should F1 take a lesson from MotoGP when it comes to on-track passing?
Schumacher: Is it really important that you have that much more passing? Is it vital to the sport? Because it has never been different. We would love it, absolutely, because if you're quicker and you can't pass it's sometimes frustrating, but it's part of the game. Now, you have to use the strategy, it's much more of a team sport... Quite honestly I have the same point of view as you have, it's much more exciting in certain moments to watch a motorcycle race than ours, but [the fans] seem to love what we do.
Who were your heroes growing up?
Schumacher: I was a fan of (German soccer player) Tony Schumacher, because not only was he a great goalkeeper but he had my name as well. I became famous in school [by telling people he was] my uncle.
What is your brother Ralf better at than you?
