BEIRUT, July 04 (DubaiPhotoMedia): Finance Minister Jihad Azour has called on parliament members to speed up debate on the financial and economic draft plan presented by the government.
In an interview with Beirut's Daily Star, Azour expressed confidence that Lebanon's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) could grow by over five per cent a year if parliament reached a consensus on the plan. "We cannot waste any more time.
Reforms are essential if we want to reduce the size of the public debt and stimulate the economy," The Daily Star quoted Azour as saying.
