One of the best aspects of conferences, workshops, and other professional gatherings is when colleagues come together over a cup of tea or glass of wine just to talk about teaching, students, new technologies, administrative challenges or about all the daily professional concerns that affect us as adult educators. Sometimes, we help one another solve problems; other times, we just listen and nod knowingly, comforted in our recognition that our issues are at least somewhat common.
