TULSA, Okla. -- U.S. District Court Judge Claire Eagan ruled Friday against Rx Depot, effectively shutting down some 85 Rx Depot and Rx of Canada locations that had facilitated the import of medicines from Canada into the United States.

The decision does not, however, automatically shut down all storefront operations that operate similar businesses. The decision is binding on all state courts in the Northern District of Oklahoma and establishes a precedent in federal case law, but the ruling handed down does not affect a similar case in West Virginia, for instance.
