Skinkers RSS technology backed up by Microsoft
Skinkers, the London-based RSS-driven alerts technology provider, has secured technology-development backing from Microsoft. Skinkers has recently inked deals with the BBC and the Financial Times, putting it squarely into the information delivery market, with Microsoft backing its plans to push the alerts technology envelope further.
Microsoft IP Ventures program, part of the software giant's Cambridge R&D arm, will have an equity position on the Skinkers board. Andrew Herbert, managing director of Microsoft Research Cambridge, joins the board as an observer.
