Head of media exits headhunter after seven months, to be replaced by She publisher Becky McBride.
Martin Bowley, the head of media at the headhunter Kendall Tarrant, is leaving the company.
Bowley, who is departing after just seven months, will be replaced by Becky McBride, the publisher of She at The National Magazine Company.
He was recruited by Gay Haines, the former head of search at Kendall Tarrant. However, Haines left Kendall Tarrant soon after its parent company, Hat Pin, acquired Stolkin + Partners in March.
Bowley, 51, was linked in May to the vacant chief executive post at trade body The RadioCentre. The RadioCentre job eventually went to Andrew Harrison, the former managing director of Muller Dairy.
Gary Stolkin, the chief executive of Kendall Tarrant, said that Bowley is departing on amicable terms. He said: 'Ultimately, I think Martin's skills and experience deserve a bigger canvas.'
Bowley added: 'I was flattered to be asked to join Kendall Tarrant by Gay. I learnt an immense amount from her and enjoyed the headhunting experience.'
