The Government of India has spent Rs9,988.57 crore on the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, its flagship Education for All programme in 2005-2006. This works out to 87 percent of the funds allocated for the programme. The funding pattern of the programme is based on a 75:25 sharing pattern between the Government of India and the state governments.
