Khartoum, 12 June: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Lam Akol, reiterated that any possible UN role in Darfur would be subjected to deliberation to avoid any circumstances that would not be against the interests of the people of Sudan or their principles.

This came when the minister of foreign affairs presented a report to the Council of States about the outcome of the recent visit of the Security Council delegation to Sudan.
