Jul. 4--GOALKEEPERS: Germany's Jens Lehmann has given up one goal since Costa Rica scored twice in the opening match. A controversial choice to start over Oliver Khan, Lehmann became a national hero and vindicated his selection when he saved two penalty kicks in Germany's win over Argentina to advance to the semifinals. Italy's Gianluigi Buffon has been as impressive as Lehmann, allowing just one goal throughout the Cup, an own-goal against the United States, while making 21 saves.
