- The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) says the 73-billion-baht Shin Corporation-Temasek deal did not breach existing regulations and laws, including those related to foreign ownership.
- The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand is preparing to transfer assets taken through state expropriation, including the utility's electricity transmission network, to the Treasury Department.
- Adkinson Securities will close 16 to 18 branches this year and set up a new investment banking team to help increase net profits, according to chief executive Sadawut Taechaubol.
- Thai Airways International has started accepting reservations for historic commercial flights to Suvarnabhumi airport on July 29.
- The SET-listed mobile handset distributor TWZ Corporation is poised to start producing its own brand of mobile phones, notebook computers and LCD television monitors by the third quarter of this year.
