Jul. 2--Three area park districts have joined in an effort to breathe new life into campuses permanently shut by the San Juan Unified School District: Creekside Elementary in Arden Arcade, John Holst Elementary in Fair Oaks and Thomas W. Coleman Elementary in Orangevale. Fulton-El Camino, Fair Oaks and Orangevale parks officials said they want to rent the facilities for recreational use. The park districts plan to present a proposal to the school district to voice community needs and concern that idle campuses can become problematic.
