A Remedy for Nepal
Readers of our May 1 report on the crisis in Nepal blamed both King Gyanendra and the Maoists. One advocated democracy: "The king should be a ceremonial head." Another, furious with the king for firing on "peaceful" demonstrators, concurred: "No other system can function in Nepal."
Nepal's Woes
The crisis in Nepal is the result of King Gyanendra's inability to heed the grievances of his people in a systematic and conscious manner ("Nepal Is Burning," May 1).
