from ANTARA, The Indonesian National News Agency Denpasar, Bali, June 28 (ANTARA) - Some 10,000 to 20,000 dengue fever cases occur in Indonesia every year , a senior health official said

"Of the total number of cases, around 204 to 206 or 1.3 percent end in the patient's death," Dr Nyoman Kandun, director general of contagious disease eradication at the Health Ministry said here on Wednesday

The fatality figure had decreased from the previous years when the death toll reached three percent , he said

"The improvement was thanks to the public's awareness about how to handle dengue fever. …
