London Book Fair wins out after Frankfurt challenge

The Frankfurt Book Fair (FBF) is seeking legal advice after losing a London venue to its main rival less than a week after announcing plans to hold its first ever fair in the capital.
The world's largest book fair, held in Germany every October, was in talks with Earls Court to hold an event to rival the London Book Fair (LBF).
But the LBF, which has a long-standing relationship with EC&O Venues, which runs Earls Court, has succeeded in gazumping its larger competitor by signing a "long-term agreement" with the west London venue.
