A lack of standards in technology is making the lives of media information professionals more difficult. Katharine Schopflin, chair of association of UK media librarians, said: "What makes it difficult is that there are now so many organisations offering technology that there's no standardisation." She added that electronic document management systems and content management systems are now converging, bringing some relief.
