Lesotho claim is snag in Letseng mine sale Chief Reporter THE R879m sale of the Letseng diamond mine to the Oppenheimer family's former adviser, Clifford Elphick, faces a hurdle as the Lesotho government is still trying to get its hands on a greater chunk of the mine.

Yesterday, Brett Kebble's former company, JCI, announced that it and other shareholders had agreed to sell 100% of Letseng Investment Holdings to Elphick's Gem Diamonds for R879m nearly 10% below the original R950m price tag understood to have been tabled.
