Jun. 28--UPLAND -- More than 350 homes slated for development near Cable Airport could transform the area with street improvements and additional residents, planners say. The 30-acre project, called Upland Crossing, is roughly bounded by Foothill Boulevard, Monte Vista Avenue and new extensions of 11th Street and Dewey Way.

The proposal from developer Lewis Operating Corp. will be considered by the city's Planning Commission tonight.

The land where the project is proposed was originally used as a water basin. The basin was filled in when the Chino Basin Water Conservation District decided it was no longer needed, said Community …
