Orange.(Orange County)
Orange, incorporated in 1888, is a town that values its historical heritage. Originally founded in 1869 as Richland, the town was laid out with a town square at the center of the 40-acre town site, surrounded by 10-acre farm lots. By the start of the 20th century, Orange was a major center for the local fruit packing and shipping industry.
Today, the downtown area around Glassell and Chapman is a well-preserved example of a turn-of-the-century citrus-growing community and has been used as a film set for several movies.
