Pleasanton store clerk robbed at knifepoint.

Jun. 27--Officers are asking for the public's help in finding a robber who put a 5-inch steak knife blade against a greeting-card store employee's chest during a robbery Monday night, Pleasanton police said.

At 7:48 p.m., a man walked into the Hallmark Creations store in the 1700 block of Santa Rita Road and purchased a greeting card, police said.

When the employee opened the cash register, the man ran around the counter, put the knife's blade against the victim and took several bills from the register.

As the man fled, police said he told the employee "Sorry, I have a family to feed."
