AFTER MONTHS OF WRANGLING, RETIRED employees of the defunct National Waterworks and Sewerage Administration (Nawasa) and an environment coalition are inching closer to a settlement over a controversial housing project inside the La Mesa Dam watershed.

In a sign of a breakthrough, the leader of the 1,411 housing beneficiaries yesterday indicated that his group was open to relocating their 58-hectare housing project from the watershed to an alternative site in Quezon City.
