Cars coverage: love and disgust
I've been a subscriber for many years, and the May 29 issue on Cars has to be one of the best. How much fun can one group of people have? Those at Pixar must have their share and then some. This issue is going into the "save'' pile.
Bob Phillips, Milledgeville, Ga.
After immersing myself in 13 pages of wonderful car fantasy through your Pixar Cars stories, I turned the page revealing the next photo of a real car, the Lotus Exige, and for a moment I thought I was still seeing Pixar's animation. That subtle smile and friendly face of the Exige is the perfect segue back to the real world of driveable automobiles.
Greg Russell, Aurora, Colo.
I subscribe to AutoWeek because I love to read evaluations of cars, not CARtoons or movies. Please don't waste precious space in your magazine on spinning a movie about cars. I find it bewildering that someone on your staff is of the opinion serious car buffs are interested in cartoons-my bet is that 98 percent are not.
