GTx Inc announced that positive results of its Phase III interim analysis showing Acapodene (toremifene citrate) in an 80 mg dose increased bone mineral density (BMD) in prostate cancer patients on androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) are being presented at the 42nd Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The planned interim analysis was performed in Dec 2005 in patients participating in GTx's pivotal Phase III clinical trial evaluating Acapodene for the treatment of multiple side effects of ADT.
