Jun. 12--Today is the busiest day of graduation ceremonies for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, and motorists are advised to watch for slowdowns near those events. Six CMS high schools will graduate seniors today, with five commencement exercises scheduled for the Cricket Arena-Ovens Auditorium complex. Motorists can expect slowdowns on East Independence Boulevard near the Briar Creek Road interchange.

Prior to Saturday afternoon's commencement exercises for North Mecklenburg High School at Cricket Arena, traffic on eastbound Independence Boulevard was backed up nearly a mile. Here is today's graduation schedule, with…
