Jun. 10--In response to "Ex-teacher's advocates missing key point" (June 3 Forum):The rally at Community House Middle School was about protecting the rights of all teachers to reasonable treatment and due process and protecting the right of children (and their families) to file allegations in a confidential manner. In this case, when a child voiced a concern about a teacher he was immediately asked to resign or face termination. Where is the "shame" in advocating for a complete investigation before a child's name goes on a warrant and a teacher is branded as guilty? Teachers need to know all allegations will be thoroughly investigated before finding themselves on the 6 o'clock news!
