Jun. 9--Two Dixon High School students have been arrested on charges related to an alleged hazing of as many as 11 incoming freshman, three years after another Dixon hazing incident inspired tougher state laws clamping down on the controversial initiation rite.
The two boys, both incoming seniors, were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of hazing and a conspiracy charge, both misdemeanors, according to Dixon Police Chief Don Mort, who said he expects more arrests. They were released into the custody of their parents.
