Jun. 9--MOORESVILLE -- When a Cornelius Elementary teacher drove fourth-grader Lauren Bremen to math contests, no one knew Lauren was starting a journey that would eventually take her to Italy to study art, to Duke University for summer classes and to Yale on a full scholarship.
Lauren was just a bright child beginning to glimpse her own potential. And Rosemary Klein was another teacher spending extra time with students, hoping it would make a difference.
Today, Lauren graduates from Lake Norman High in Mooresville with a future shaped by her academic passion, a few inspiring teachers and one amazing opportunity.
