If the Chrysler 300C looks like a Bentley, then the Chrysler Imperial most closely resembles a Rolls-Royce Phantom up close. But it would be a Rolls-Royce Phantom that stickered for somewhere in the $50,000 range.

Not everyone in our office thinks so. Those who live 800 miles or more out in the suburbs and believe automotive design peaked with the Country Squire station wagon hate the Imperial. Those of us who have ever read Rides magazine have a better appreciation of it.
