Jun. 8--A teachers' aide at S.P. Morton Elementary School in Franklin City has been suspended after an investigation found that she changed students' answers on state tests.
Nearly one out of every three fifth-grade tests had answers erased or extra bubbles filled in, according to schools Superintendent Alline Farmer.
"It would have ensured that we failed," Farmer said.
The scores are used to measure state performance requirements for schools. Morton Elementary did not meet mandated goals last year, which increased the stakes this year.
