Jun. 5--With fast-growing Mexican chains Chipotle and Moe's Southwest Grill encroaching on Orlando-based Tijuana Flats' home turf, it would stand to reason that the owner of the homegrown Tex-Mex outfit might be a little concerned. Not so, says founder Brian Wheeler. Wheeler said the restaurant chain continues to post double-digit sales growth at restaurants open at least a year, and he expects total sales to reach $50 million this year. "In other words, we are kicking butt," he said. The chain, known for its sassy hot-sauce brands and colorful, custom decor, also plans to add 11 locations in 2006 to bring its total to 55. ...
