Tim Bleakley and Andrew Oldham tell Alasdair Reid how they captured 'the world's biggest outdoor contract' for Viacom.
You can't help feeling that Bleakley and Oldham are destined to see rather a lot of each other over the coming years. We are, of course, referring to Jack Bleakley and Caitlin Oldham, aged five and six respectively, currently classmates at a primary school in Hampstead.
Because, of course, some people think their dads are already joined at the hip. The dads in question, Tim Bleakley and Andrew Oldham, wouldn't go that far. In fact, they insist, they're like chalk and cheese.
You can see what they mean. Tim comes from Lancashire and was a sales director in commercial radio before joining Viacom, where he's now the joint managing director; he lives in Fortune Green and his wife used to work at Leo Burnett. He drinks Guinness and his favourite restaurant is Nautilus in West Hampstead.
Whereas Andrew comes from Lancashire, was a sales director in commercial radio before joining Viacom, where he's now the joint managing director; he lives in Fortune Green and his wife used to work at Leo Burnett. He drinks Guinness and his favourite restaurant is Nautilus in West Hampstead.
Granted, there is a marked difference when it comes to their attitudes towards football. Bleakley is an uncompromisingly rabid Manchester United fan. Oldham, meanwhile, goes regularly to Old Trafford but feels slightly guilty that he's not supporting his hometown team, Oldham.
Seriously, though, Bleakley insists, they have fundamentally opposed temperaments. 'Andy is the ice-cool one,' he explains. 'My heart is always on my sleeve. We complement each other.'
