Kimberly-Clark has dealt Ogilvy & Mather a blow with its decision to consolidate a major chunk of its personal care business into JWT.
The move sees JWT picking up Kimberly-Clark's entire personal care division in Europe and North America.
The whole account is worth around pounds 110 million and the London office will pick up a substantial part of this.
The London agency will partner New York in running the overall business and will have responsibility for the European part of the account.
Bob Jeffrey, JWT's worldwide chief executive, said: 'London plays a big role in the business and will have a major impact. We were given the account because we have a strong allegiance between the London and New York agencies.'
The move sees JWT scooping the Huggies Pull-ups, GoodNites, DryNites Depend, Kotex and Poise brands.
It already handles creative duties in the North America and European regions for the company's family care brands. These include Kleenex, Scott, Cottonelle, Viva and Andrex.
