Tim Broadbent, the former Bates EMEA planning chief, is moving to Ogilvy & Mather in Beijing to become its effectiveness director for the Asia-Pacific region.

Broadbent, who has won two IPA Effectiveness Grands Prix during his career, will advise clients and agency staff in Asia on the benefits of effectiveness planning.

He said: 'The role will be both external, informing clients on how communications can build their profits, and internal, teaching agency staff about the importance of effectiveness to clients.
