Partner in real estate firm sells ownership to new exec. (David Eckel; Diane McMahon)

David Eckel, a longtime partner in Stovroff & Herman Inc., has sold his ownership in the real estate agency to Diane McMahon, executive vice president.

McMahon, a former law partner in Hodgson Russ Andrews Woods & Goodyear, joined Stovroff & Herman earlier this year.

The deal, completed a month ago, was approved by Stovroff & Herman's two other partners, Judy Benjamin and Louise Arnone. Stovroff & Herman is the area's largest residential real estate firm.

Eckel said it was his decision to leave. Eckel, who in the past had expressed a desire to work in the Florida market, has been taking classes to obtain a real estate license in that state.
