Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief of staff General Generoso S. Senga has directed military prosecutors to investigate the intelligence officers and personnel accused of torturing the five Estrada supporters in preparation for a possible court-martial.

"General Senga ordered the JAG [Judge Advocate General] to conduct pretrial investigation on ISAFP [Intelligence Service of the AFP] personnel involved in inflicting injury on the five Estrada supporters," military public information office chief Col. Tristan Kison said in a text message.
