All the emphasis Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz laid on expeditiously addressing public complaints over load-shedding can be hardly expected to bring any solace to the disillusioned consumers of electricity in Karachi.

A justification for this observation can be found in Water and Power Minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi's briefing some time ago on the situation of water and electricity. He had claimed that enough availability of water would not only help meet the requirements of Kharif crop, but also cater to the high demand of electricity this summer too.
